Services

Christ Church has a fairly low-church style with a faithful Bible-based approach to worship and prayer.  All our services are open to anyone to attend whether you have a Christian faith or not and we do hope that you will be able to join with us to worship.  If you are visiting please do introduce yourself to the clergy and other members of the congregation.  For full details of our upcoming services please look at the calendar.

 Sundays

8am  Holy Communion
This is a quiet and traditional spoken service following the Book of Common
Prayer.  It is usually followed by refreshments and a light breakfast.
10.30am Morning worship
This service for all the family alternates between a welcoming, modern and inclusive communion service and lively non-eucharistic worship.  The 1st Sunday of the month is often an all-age service where the children and young people are involved in the service throughout.  Communion services are usually on 2nd and 4th Sundays although this does change at festivals and on special occasions.  The music group provides accompaniment for our sung worship.  Refreshments are served after the service.
Our Junior Church meets in termtime during the 10.30am service for a wide range of activities and there is a créche area at the back of church for those under 3 years old.

Mondays

8.30am Morning prayer
A short reflective spoken service at the start of the day.

Tuesdays

8.30am Morning prayer
A short reflective spoken service at the start of the day.

Last Wednesday of the Month

2pm Communion and Cake
A traditional spoken communion service followed by afternoon tea.

First Saturday of the Month

3.30pm Messy Church
A relaxed service specifically for children and their families to learn about God and have fun together.  There is always an interesting mix of activities for the children based around a Bible story with songs and prayer, finishing off with sandwiches and cake.

Team Services

Three or four times a year we join with the congregations from St Nicholas and St Barnabas Churches for a joint Team Service.  This usually happens around particular festivals such as Advent, Palm Sunday and Pentecost.  Click here for further information about upcoming Team Services.

Anyone attending services at Christ Church is also most welcome to attend any services held across the Team Ministry.

6:30pm Sunday Evening Service
A weekly service held at either St Nicholas Church, Sutton Baptist Church or Trinity URC Church which is open to everyone including those who worship at Christ Church.  Click here for more information.
