Christ Church has a 'low church' Anglican style of worship, with a faithful, Bible-based approach to worship, preaching and prayer. All are welcome. Whether you are a committed Christian looking to deepen your faith, exploring Christianity for the first time, or anywhere in between, our hope and prayer is that all who come will encounter the life-saving, life-changing good news of Jesus at Christ Church.
If you are visiting please do introduce yourself to the clergy and other members of the congregation. For full details of our upcoming services please look at the calendar.
|This is a quiet and traditional spoken service following the Book of Common Prayer, with a full sermon preached. It is usually followed by a light breakfast.|
|10.30am||Holy Communion, Morning Worship or All-Age Worship|
|Sunday at 10.30 a.m. is our largest gathering. Children are welcome each week - the 1st Sunday of the Month is usually All-Age worship, where we stay together in the main church building with a short, family-friendly service.
On other weeks, we usually alternate between Holy Communion (2nd and 4th Sundays) and Morning Worship (3rd and 5th). On these Sundays, children start together with adults in the main church building, but then go out into their groups for Junior Church shortly after the start of the service. We also have a creche area - new for 2018 - that is suitable for children aged 3 and under.
Mondays - Thursdays
|A short service from the Book of Common Prayer. All are welcome. Please note that Prayer takes place in the church office or the side chapel- depending on how cold it is!- but either way, come through the side door by the car park.|
|11.30am||Midday prayer or Holy Communion|
|As part of our 'Community Wednesdays' we have prayer each week at 11.30 am. All are welcome, whether you've been around during the morning or are just arriving to pray. Most weeks, we have a short prayer service, but on the last Wednesday of the month we celebrate Holy Communion. We serve a light lunch afterwards. As with all our services, all are welcome.|
